About me
Piste Adja(S)CENT is a collection of field notes from life in the Wasatch and beyond — backcountry mornings, travel days that don’t always go as planned, and the occasional bad idea that somehow works out. I’m Amelia, a skier, traveler, and soon-to-be law student who prefers early alarms, high places, and figuring things out along the way.
In rotation
current gear obsession
I’m currently skiing the WNDR Alpine Intention Camber in both my touring (108 underfoot) and resort (110 underfoot) setups, both picked up at the tail end of last season.
Unfortunately, and somewhat inexplicably, the company has since quietly closed its doors, which makes these infant skis feel a little like relics from an experiment that ended too soon.
If you don’t already have a pair, your best bet is stalking The Gear Room, our dangerously good local consignment shop, or otherwise settling for whatever your hometown calls a gear swap. That’s how one of my setups found me.
